Job Summary:
Our client a flexible packaging manufacturer is looking for a Quality Control Auditor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all packaging materials and finished products meet stringent quality standards. You will play a key role in identifying defects, implementing quality checks, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review packing materials and artwork prior to printing
Monitor quality of customer samples at time of production.
Verify customer sample and quantities on job cards
Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
Measure products with scales, gauges, or micrometres
Inspect, test, or measure raw material packaging materials and finished products
Maintain ISO/FSSC standards, safety regulations and high standards of the lab, performance
and housekeeping.
Responsible for keeping the retained samples of materials and products and their disposal according to the approved SOPs
Perform daily quality inspections on finished goods and packaging components.
Fill out and maintain all of the paperwork to support the quality inspections. This also includes taking pictures and logging retained samples.
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company procedures and specifications
Document and communicate defects on products
Send customer colour standards to customer as required by job specification
Provide support and assist in managing Quality Systems
Responsible for ensuring the equipment used for testing are meeting the required standards
To develop corrective action steps on the basis of customer complaints.
Responsible for good housekeeping of the designated work area.
Check if the floor is clean fill in the pre-operational and personnel checklists every morning
Create NCRs for any defects found
Ensure Paperwork is filled in accurately and completely
Skills and Requirements:
Previous experience in quality control within the flexible packaging industry is a MUST.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with quality control processes, inspection tools, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of 5S, HACCP and food safety systems is advantageous.
